Before renting a car in Marrakech, request the documents required for the driver and proposed vehicle. A licence, identity document or payment method may be requested, but the exact list and conditions must be confirmed for your circumstances, especially when using a foreign licence.

What should you check before flying to Marrakech?
Ask whether original documents are required, what licence conditions apply and who must be listed as driver. Check before travelling. A relative arranging the booking does not mean their name can replace the person who will drive and sign the contract. Explain any difference between the booker and driver early.
Should you send a passport in the first message?
For a quote, start with dates, city, handover location and preferred vehicle. Avoid immediately sending identity copies. First ask which documents are necessary and how to provide them to the correct contact. An enquiry form is not the same as document verification, and sending documents does not itself confirm a booking.
How should you handle an additional driver?
If you intend to share driving in Marrakech or on an excursion, say so in your enquiry. Confirm documents and authorisation for each driver, along with any charge.
