Marrakech car rental: deposit, insurance and excess explained
For car rental in Marrakech, deposit, insurance and excess are three different terms. Request the conditions for the actual proposed car: the deposit amount alone does not explain what is covered or what may remain payable after an incident. Check the written terms before payment.

What should you ask about the deposit?
Check the amount, recipient, payment or hold method and release conditions. Ask how damage or charges are documented. Plan your departure from Marrakech too: understand the return inspection and deposit procedure before your flight, without assuming immediate release. Keep the payment record and agreed terms together for reference.
Does comprehensive insurance mean no excess?
A marketing label does not fully explain coverage. Ask about exclusions, covered situations and any excess. For an Agafay or Atlas excursion, describe your itinerary and ask whether intended roads are permitted. Choosing an SUV does not itself authorise track driving or establish insurance coverage for a particular route.
What should you check at handover?
Compare the contract with the proposal and record existing damage before leaving. Ask for the incident contact and procedure. Retain pickup and return records. MedJadLuxury can clarify the terms for your enquiry; this article sets no universal deposit or excess amount and does not replace the applicable rental contract.
